What Is Authenticity?

Authenticity is being original and real. You do things from your heart, and your inside is the same as your outside.

Authenticity is being true to who you are, expressing your real thoughts and emotions.You are self-aware, and you accept yourself the way you are.

Who are Authentic People?


You value Honesty: You speak your truth no matter what, even when it’s uncomfortable.

You accept your imperfections : You’re not afraid to show your flaws and take them, and you don’t pretend to be someone you’re not or try to be perfect.

You’re not afraid to stand alone: You’re willing to walk your own path, even if it’s different from the crowd.

You align actions with values: Your decisions and behavior reflect what you truly believe in and you always follow the truth and do the right thing.


You are compassionate, but not a people pleaser : You care about others, but not at the expense of your truth, especially when it comes to the rights of others.

You feel at peace with yourself : You experience inner calm because you’re not constantly trying to perform or prove something.

Sometimes, when things are truly real, people interpret them as the opposite. That’s because authentic people are so rare, they’re often misunderstood. And this is why:

1-They live in a world where there is a lot of fakeness, and they get mixed.

2-Their authenticity triggers wounds and insecurities in people.

3-They seem too good to be true, so they become indifferent to others.

5-They live by their own rules and their own world and dreams. They do not live by what’s considered “normal.” This makes society fear them because they don’t understand. People often fear what they don’t understand.

What to do if you are an Authentic person and you suffer?

  • Follow your intuition. Intuition never lies, even in the hardest situations.
  • Trust yourself and listen to your heart. Sometimes life is hard, but if you stay true to yourself, you will always win.
  • Set strong boundaries and protect your energy. It’s not your job to make people see your true self or heart.
  • Be compassionate with yourself. I know it feels lonely sometimes, but remember: being authentic is a strength, not a weakness. As long as you stay true to yourself, you are never truly alone.
  • Accept yourself and those around you. Your energy is not for everyone, and that’s a good thing. You will find your people; just be yourself and follow your path.
